Heat Treatment According to Japanese Standards

☑️ Heat treatment is an extremely vital step in core pin production. After the heat treatment process, core pins achieve higher hardness, better wear resistance, and simultaneously enhanced heat resistance and stability when used in the harsh working environment of hot die casting molds. Understanding this critical aspect, we always select reputable, reliable, and high-quality partners to perform the heat treatment process in accordance with Japanese standards.

Diverse Coatings 

☑️ Each core pin will undergo different surface treatments or coatings to meet specific requirements regarding polish (finish), lifespan, or wear resistance. Dynamo offers a wide variety of coatings based on customer requests, ensuring superior coating quality.

Advanced Equipment and Diverse Production

⭐ High Precision: We achieve high precision through modern machinery, measuring equipment, and quality inspection processes adhering to Japanese standards. We utilize grinding machines, CNC milling, CNC turning, and 3D CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).

⭐ Diverse Sizes and Shapes: We are capable of machining various types of Core Pins with a minimum diameter of Ø1mm up to a maximum diameter of Ø320mm, and a maximum length of L=700mm. We are also ready to accept all requests, including single-piece orders.

QUALITY

👉 We utilize an ultrasonic testing machine to inspect the thickness and concentricity of internal holes relative to their outer diameter.

👉 We use an endoscope (borescope) to examine the internal finish of drilled holes. The minimum size for inspection is Ø2mm.

👉 We employ a product gloss meter (or surface roughness tester) to ensure the products meet the most stringent finish requirements.

👉 Before delivery, 100% of our products undergo comprehensive inspection, ensuring that no defective products reach our customers.

👉 Dynamo Vietnam boasts over 10 years of experience in manufacturing various types of inserts for die-casting molds. We possess the capability to produce highly complex 3D-profiled parts, including thin-walled components with deep, small-diameter water channels (e.g., from Φ3mm x L=500mm) without any difficulty. 3D & REVERSE ENGINEERING

👉 We accept most 3D file formats from customers, including IGES, STEP, Parasolid, NX, CATIA, and more. We also provide 2D to 3D conversion services and vice versa, as well as custom drawing services upon request.

👉 For products that do not have 3D files, we offer reverse engineering services to generate 3D files from physical samples in various formats.

CAD/CAM

👉 We meticulously process and quickly validate input data, utilizing powerful and optimized software such as CAMTOOL, HYPERMILL, and VISI for efficient machining programming.

PRECISION MACHINING

👉 Our technical team receives specifications and establishes optimized machining processes based on the factory’s equipment and machinery.

👉 We maintain a strictly managed tooling system that enables diverse and highly efficient machining capabilities. Our smallest end mill diameter, even after heat treatment, goes down to Φ0.5mm.

👉 Our machining centers operate at speeds up to 20,000 RPM. Alongside these, our Wire-EDM, Sinker-EDM, and grinding machines work together to execute processes with high precision and efficiency.

👉 Following machining, products undergo a careful and meticulous polishing process, which can achieve a mirror-like finish. This, combined with surface treatment, significantly improves surface roughness.

QUALITY CONTROL

👉 All products are inspected on CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) based on the 3D files provided by the customer. We also offer quality inspection solutions using the ATOS non-contact measurement method.

👉 Currently, we possess 06 CMM machines and 01 ATOS system, along with various other measuring devices and inspection gauges from renowned brands such as Mitutoyo, OSG, and more.

👉 We manufacture a wide range of die-casting molds, with capabilities extending up to 800 tons 💡. The precision of our molds meets dimensional requirements down to the micrometer level.
👉 All our mold products are managed under a comprehensive system, from design through production to completion.

A Die-casting Mold Design requires:

MOLD DESIGN

Our design steps receive and define information meticulously:

GATING SYSTEM FOR MOLTEN MATERIALS

MOLD COOLING CHANNELS

👉 Cooling the mold and components within die-casting molds plays an extremely critical role. There has been a significant surge in the use of cooling channels in molds. Mold cooling is now very common and its adoption increases annually.

👉 To meet this growing demand, we have developed lines of mold cooling components with superior designs that customers can choose according to the standards we recommend. Furthermore, we are fully capable of meeting customers’ specific requirements.

DYNACOOL

👉 A product line of cooling components designed and manufactured by Dynamo itself, offering customers the flexibility to choose the right products for their specific needs.

LINER

👉 Protects the water channels of the main component from rust/corrosion and leakage caused by cracks in the main component. We recommend a standard liner thickness of 1.0mm for optimal cooling. However, we can also accommodate thicknesses down to 0.5mm based on customer requirements.

COOLING TUBES

👉 Currently, Dynamo produces various types of cooling tubes, typically made from stainless steel. However, we can also manufacture them using a variety of other materials, such as Copper (Cu), Brass, and different grades of Stainless Steel (SUS), … depending on our customers’ specific requirements.
